After a decade of studio mastering work in Atlanta, GA, Matt currently oversees digitization & preservation services as Senior Audio Engineer for Preserve South, archiving historical audio collections with clients such as the Library of Congress, Smithsonian Institution, National Center for Civil and Human Rights, National Museum of African American History and Culture, Jimmy Carter Library, the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum, Atlanta History Center, University of Georgia, Washington University in St. Louis, Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and the American Archive of Public Broadcasting. With one of the most advanced, multi-track archiving studios in the world, Matt is currently archiving the audio collection for KLRU's Austin City Limits, covering nearly 45 years of original, multi-track master recordings.
Matt is also an ADR mixer with Burbank-based Smart Post Sound (formerly Crawford Media Services), celebrates over 15 years as engineer for the Georgia Music Hall of Fame and is an active member of the Association for Recorded Sound Collections (ARSC), the International Association of Sound and Audiovisual Archives (IASA), the Southeast Chapter of the Music Library Association (SEMLA) and serves on the Audio Engineering Society (AES) technical committees for Archiving Restoration and Digital Libraries, Semantic Audio Analysis & High Resolution Audio.
