Pedro Félix

Pedro Félix is the coordinator of the Installing Team of the National Sound Archive, a structure created by the Portuguese Government (
http://arquivonacionaldosom.gov.pt).
He is a member of research centres at Universidade Nova de Lisboa (since 1997) and collaborated with the Fado Museum (since 2005).
He was part of the team responsible for the preparation of the Fado proposal to UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage (2005-2011, coordinating fieldwork and the inventory of the phonographic heritage associated with Fado). Afterwards, he coordinated the program of digitization of the phonographic collection of the Fado Museum. He has participated in the organization of several private sound archives and has collaborated with public and private institutions organizing phonographic collections. He has done work of recording, digitizing, restoring and mastering audio from historical carriers, some of them publish.
He conceived and coordinated the European project HeritaMus (
http://heritamus.fcsh.unl.pt/, 2015-2018), a digital tool for collaborative curation of material (phonographic) and immaterial (musical knowledge and practices) heritage.
He is an active member at IASA where he currently serves as chair of Ambassadors Committee and vice-chair of Discography Committee.
