Sarah Johnston is Senior Client Access Liaison (Takawaenga ā-Iwi Matua), at Nga Taonga Sound & Vision, New Zealand. A former radio journalist and editor she worked with Radio New Zealand and Deutsche Welle before joining the Radio New Zealand Sound Archives, which are now cared for by Ngā Taonga Sound & Vision. She curates and presents a weekly Sound Archives segment on RNZ and is enthusiastic about finding ways to connect old sounds with new ears, whether online or on-air.
Improving access to New Zealand's collection of broadcast recordings made during World War II is an area of particular interest.
