I am working for the film digitising Project at Bayerischer Rundfunk in Munich, Germany as a quality advisor. My job is to view all the files, which are scanned and mastered by service providers. I have to make sure they have the best possible condition and follow our criteria for long-term archiving. Therefore, I learned a lot about 16mm and 35mm film, splices, silver plates and hydrolysis, scanning and mastering processes. Being at the first quarter of the project, workflows are still in progress and can be determined, which makes my job very versatile.
I am a studied A/V-Media Designer and before the film digitising project, I worked for 14 years in the broadcast centre of BR as a broadcast technician.
